I am grateful for the being behind Earth, behind what our physical eyes see on this planet, the being who is the energy we see manifested. Sometimes we call her Mother Gaia, sometimes Mother Earth, sometimes Mother Nature; but we always seem to get the word mother in there. "Advanced" civilizations got into an attitude of taking from her and then disposing of what they had taken with no consciousness, no acknowledgement. In a way, I see my own attitude feeding into this a little. For me going into a forest is like taking a bath. It cleanses me of excess city energies and I am grateful and do bless the trees. But, I don't actually think of Mother Gaia as providing for me. I don't actually think of giving her something just to give her something. I forget to think of her as an intelligent being. I would like to acknowledge this more.

I am grateful for friends. It is wonderful to make new friends and maintain old friendships. I love to have things in common with some people, to have groups to enjoy life with, and to have people who provide a constant presence in my life and whom I can always feel free to call upon.

I am grateful for feeling safe. It is a wonderful thing to feel safe enough to express emotions and safe enough to express myself without any apologies or concerns. It manifests as spontaneity, joy and feeling comfortable and accepted within oneself. There is a great deal of danger in this world that I don't have to be concerned about and I truly do appreciate that freedom.

I am grateful for water. Drinking water and bathing water. The unique and fascinating qualities of water in all its forms. Fresh water, flowing water, water falls and salt water. A wonderful soft rain and, especially, morning dew. I pray that each person on this planet may have fresh drinking water without effort and that each plant that lives on fresh water may have sufficient morning dew.
I am grateful for the full moon, so radiant and clear. The lunar cycles and the system of tides. The way the moon embraces our planet.
